Before the repetition

Create a stable squat setup.

Use a rack, bar position, and stance that you can control and that fit any individual instruction you follow.

  1. 01

Set the rack height and bar position so you can unrack and return the bar with control.

  2. 02

Choose a stance and foot position that feel stable for your current mobility and setup.

  3. 03

Brace before beginning the repetition, then take the space you need to move clear of the rack.

During the movement

Keep the repetition controlled.

The exact range and position can vary. Use a version you can maintain without forcing a universal depth or stance.

  1. 01

Lower under control through a comfortable range you can maintain.

  2. 02

Keep the bar balanced over a stable base of support as you change direction.

  3. 03

Stand back up with control, then reset your position and brace before the next repetition.
